Domaine Bruno Desaunay-Bissey

France

Family-owned in Flagey-Échezeaux in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, Domaine Bruno Desaunay-Bissey is now led by Richard Desaunay-Bissey following the death of Bruno Desaunay-Bissey in 2023. The estate farms old-vine parcels, including sites in Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux and Vosne-Romanée, with some vines planted as early as 1928. Viticulture follows lutte raisonnée, with herbicides and pesticides abandoned since 2007 and soil health maintained through tillage. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention and terroir-focused, using indigenous-yeast fermentations, minimal extraction and limited oak.
