Château Moulin

France

Château Moulin is a family-run estate in Bordeaux’s Canon-Fronsac and Fronsac, founded in 1988 by Bénédicte and Grégoire Hubau, who came to wine without a traditional family background. The couple own and run the vineyards and winery themselves, after acquiring Château Moulin Pey-Labrie and later Château Haut-Lariveau. Working on limestone slopes, they follow a natural, low-intervention approach with organic and biodynamic farming, officially certified organic from the 2013 vintage. Practices include cover crops, sub-soiling, hand harvesting, and fermentations with indigenous yeasts. Both founders serve as the winemakers and are closely involved in the estate’s day-to-day work, including designing some equipment.
