Domaine Méa is a five-generation family estate in Louvois, Champagne’s Montagne de Reims, now run by winemaker Sophie Méa and her husband, Franck Moussie. The domaine farms around 7 hectares in the Grand Cru villages of Louvois and Bouzy and Premier Cru Vallées-Mutry, primarily planted to Pinot Noir. Its biodynamic-like approach excludes chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, and the estate holds HVE certification. The 24 plots are harvested and vinified separately, using an old Coquard press, with clear wines aged on fine lees before bottling in tanks, barrels and oak. The family’s philosophy is to respect the land and express each terroir through sincere, harmonious Champagnes.
