Comm. G.B. Burlotto

Italy

Comm. G.B. Burlotto is a historic family-owned estate in Verduno, Piedmont, founded in the mid-19th century by Commendatore Giovan Battista Burlotto and still run by his descendants. Today the winery is led by Marina Burlotto, with Giuseppe Alessandria managing the vineyards and Fabio Alessandria, a trained oenologist and great-great-grandson of the founder, as winemaker. The estate works vineyards across several crus in Verduno, Barolo, Monforte d’Alba and Roddi, with a traditional approach focused on the classic wines of the Langhe. It is especially known for Barolo and for preserving indigenous varieties, including Pelaverga, alongside Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Freisa. No sustainability certifications or specific environmental practices are noted in the available sources.
