Château l’Ermite d’Auzan is a four-generation, family-run estate on the southern side of Costières de Nîmes, facing the Camargue and Mediterranean Sea. Its vineyard benefits from a marine Mediterranean climate and is farmed organically and biodynamically, with additional use of permaculture and phytotherapy; the 2022 vintage is certified. The estate works with natural yeasts and a range of maturation vessels, including French barrels, wooden vats, egg-shaped vats and Tava amphoras. Its Rhône-style reds blend Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, while its whites are rich yet balanced by good acidity, with notes of white peach, almond, honey, pollen and pastry.
