Château Giscours

France

Château Giscours is a historic Third Growth estate in Margaux, Bordeaux, classified in 1855. The 400‑hectare property includes 160 hectares of vineyards, with about half farmed organically and a park certified Natura 2000. Owned by the Albada Jelgersma family since 1995 and now fully under siblings Dennis, Derk and Valérie, the estate is managed day‑to‑day by Alexander van Beek. The team follows a holistic philosophy, emphasizing precision viticulture, gentle winemaking, and a deep connection to its exceptional gravel terroir. Giscours also operates as a working farm with animals, a vegetable garden, and a strong commitment to agroecology and biodiversity.
