Château Gazin is a large, historic Pomerol estate of about 26 hectares, owned and managed by the Bailliencourt family since 1917. Now in its fifth generation, the family oversees production of roughly 100,000 bottles annually, split between the grand vin and second wine L’Hospitalet de Gazin. The vineyard is planted predominantly with Merlot. Under the management of Nicolas de Bailliencourt and winemaker Michel Obert, the estate employs sustainable practices including manual harvesting, bio-controlled fermentations, and holds High Environmental Value (HVE) Level 3 certification.
