Cantina Gualtieri

Italy

Founded in 1958 in Gualtieri, Reggio Emilia, Cantina Gualtieri is a cooperative owned by 160 member growers from Reggio Emilia and Mantua, who supply its grapes. Its vertically integrated operation handles the process from harvesting through bottling, with a focus on Lambrusco Reggiano, other Lambrusco styles, and sparkling wines made from local varieties including Fogarina. The winery combines respect for Emilia’s traditions with a contemporary approach, seeking to emphasize Lambrusco’s freshness, authenticity, and natural bubbles. Sustainability is part of its philosophy through natural fermentation, very low sulphur use, environmentally respectful cultivation, and a photovoltaic plant. Its wines express a strong connection to the local territory and the families who cultivate it.
