Domaine Danjean Berthoux

France

Domaine Danjean Berthoux is a family-run estate in Jambles, in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, led by Pascal Danjean with the next generation, Charles-Antoine, now involved. The Berthoux-Danjean family has farmed the domaine across multiple generations, cultivating, vinifying, ageing, and selling its wines from vineyards around Jambles, Givry, and Mercurey. The vineyard is planted predominantly to Pinot Noir, with smaller parcels of Chardonnay and Aligoté, on mainly east- and south-facing limestone slopes. Farming follows reasoned, sustainable cultivation without stated certification. In the cellar, the domaine works parcel by parcel to highlight terroir and is noted for a restrained, low-intervention approach.
