Borgo Scopeto is a historic Tuscan estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Siena, owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini. Its vineyards lie at 350–420 metres on clay-marly soils with sandy and calcareous elements, planted mainly to Sangiovese alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Harvest is mostly carried out by hand. The modern winery combines stainless-steel fermentation with aging in Slavonian oak casks and French oak tonneaux; Chianti Classico ferments for 7–10 days, while Riserva wines receive longer maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation and wood aging. The estate also includes olive groves, woodland and a carefully restored medieval village now incorporating a high-end hotel.
