Bodegas Hermanos Peciña is a family-owned estate in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alta, founded in 1992 by Pedro Peciña Crespo and his three children and still run by the Peciña family. Pedro, formerly an agronomist at La Rioja Alta, remains the lead winemaker and technical director. The estate works with its own vineyards near the winery, on calcareous clay soils with strong limestone content, farmed with organic-style, natural viticulture and no chemical fertilizers, though no formal certification is noted. Grapes are hand-harvested, and the cellar follows a traditional, low-intervention Rioja approach with indigenous yeasts, stainless-steel fermentation, manual gravity racking, aging in used American oak, and in some wines no fining or filtration.
