Bodegas Artazu is the Navarra estate of the ARTADI group, owned and operated by the López de Lacalle family, with Juan Carlos López de Lacalle serving as both owner and head winemaker. Since 1996, the winery has focused on recovering old-vine Garnacha from small-scale vineyards in Navarra's extreme, contrasting climate and calcareous soils. It practices low-intervention, natural viticulture: all grapes are estate-grown, hand-harvested, and cultivated without chemical pesticides or fertilizers, adopting biodynamic practices since 2011. Sustainability efforts include low sulfur usage (~25 ppm) and canned packaging to protect the wine. While production volumes are not disclosed, the emphasis on old vines suggests limited, artisanal output.
