Bodega Hermanos del Villar

Spain

Bodega Hermanos del Villar is a family-owned winery in Rueda, Valladolid, founded in 1955 and still guided by the del Villar family under owner-winemaker Pablo del Villar. Working in D.O. Rueda and Ribera del Duero, the estate combines a strong focus on site with organic certification and a carbon-neutral philosophy. Its vineyards in Rueda include gravelly, alluvial, sandy and clay soils for Verdejo, plus degraded limestone for Sauvignon Blanc, while Ribera del Duero parcels feature stony surfaces and deep limestone subsoils. The winery emphasizes soil character, precision viticulture and a creative, unconventional spirit, and is also known for Finca de los Hornos, a single-vineyard bottling from a distinctive acidic, stony site.
