Banshee Wines

United States

Founded in 2009 and based in Alexander Valley, Banshee is owned by Foley Family Wines and led by winemaker Alicia Sylvester. The label works with Sonoma County growers, focusing particularly on cool, rugged sites along the far Western Sonoma Coast, as well as selected vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Anderson Valley. Its single-vineyard wines aim for affordable luxury, emphasizing balance, purity, depth and quality. Pinot Noir is central, combining power without weight with forest-floor, pine, tea, mushroom, spice and mineral notes. Banshee also produces Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, rosé, sparkling wine, Cabernet Sauvignon and other varietals and blends. No sustainability certifications or specific ecological practices are disclosed.
