Azienda Verbena

Italy

Azienda Verbena is a family-run estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, led by Luca Nannetti with the support of his wife Elena and daughter Martina, continuing a family story that began in 1985 and was previously carried on by Luca’s mother and aunt. The estate works Sangiovese vineyards across two hillside areas with differing exposures, combining cooler sites for aromatic intensity with warmer parcels in Castelnuovo dell’Abate. Winemaking is personally followed by Luca with longtime oenologist Paolo Caciorgna, using temperature-controlled steel, barriques, and large oak for ageing. Verbena also produces Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Vin Santo, and small quantities of extra virgin olive oil, with the whole family involved in the harvest.
