Atxa

Spain

Founded in 1831, Atxa (Destilerías Acha) is a historic family-run distillery in Spain’s Basque Country, led by Gabriel Atxa. Its vermouths are made by macerating botanicals in aguardiente produced in a 130-year-old copper pot still, then blending the spirit with a neutral Airén wine base. The distillery follows traditional recipes and emphasizes natural ingredients alongside sustainable, low-intervention practices.
