Domaine de la Bretonnière

France

Domaine de la Bretonnière is a small, family-run estate in Le Landreau, in the Pays Nantais of France’s Loire Valley. The Charpentier family has owned the domaine for four generations, with brothers Pierre-Yves and Patrice Charpentier managing it since 1989. Pierre-Yves oversees vinification, while Patrice handles sales and administration. Its vines average 35 years old and are planted on green gneiss over clay, alongside mica schist, greenstone and granite. The estate produces a broad portfolio of Loire wines, reflecting the varied soils of its vineyards.
