Casa D’Ambra is a historic family-owned producer on Ischia in Campania, founded in 1888 and now in its fourth generation under Andrea D’Ambra, with Marina and Sara also involved. Based in Forio/Panza, the estate is closely tied to the island’s heroic viticulture, including steep terraced vineyards at Frassitelli on Monte Epomeo, where work and harvest are done by hand and grapes are carried in small crates. The winery focuses on native island varieties such as Biancolella, Forastera, Uvarilla, Piedirosso and Guarnaccia, and has also created a genetic field to recover disappearing local grapes. Its wines emphasize freshness, delicacy, dryness and minerality, with whites vinified in stainless steel and a style intended to express Ischia’s distinctive territory.
