Producer

Alois Lageder

Italy

Alois Lageder is a sixth-generation family winery based in Magrè in Alto Adige, founded in 1823 and now run by siblings Alois Clemens, Helena and Anna Lageder. Working from estate vineyards and longtime partner growers across Alto Adige, the winery aims to express the region’s diversity of grape varieties, soils, altitudes and microclimates. Farming is fully organic or biodynamic, with Demeter-certified vineyards, cover crops, livestock integration, biodiversity, and a closed-loop approach supported by a renewable-energy, gravity-flow cellar. Since the 1980s the estate has combined innovation with a strong focus on longevity, including its Rarum library of aged Crus. Its range spans Classical Grape Varietals, Compositions and Crus, alongside experimental bottlings under Comets.
