Domaine Gour de Chaulé

France

Domaine du Gour de Chaule is a family-owned estate in Gigondas in the Southern Rhône, founded in 1900 by Eugene Bonfils and now in its fifth generation under Paul Fumoso, with Stéphanie Fumoso as proprietor. The domaine farms certified organic vineyards in Gigondas with additional parcels in Vacqueyras and Violes, including old vines and a strong focus on low yields. Farming is described as respectful of the environment, and winemaking follows a traditional, minimal-intervention approach: grapes are not destemmed, ferment with stems, and the wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered. Mainly planted to Grenache, the estate’s wines reflect its diverse parcels and long family continuity.
