Thomas Fogarty Winery is a family-run, privately owned estate in Woodside, California, founded in 1976 by cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Thomas Fogarty and built in partnership with fourth-generation grape grower Michael Martella. The estate farms organically with minimal irrigation and emphasizes preservation of its heritage oak and fir forests, though no formal certifications are noted. Its mature vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains include long-established plantings, with a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay alongside Gewürztraminer and a small Nebbiolo block. The winery also works with fruit from other vineyards, including Italian varieties grown by the Siletto family in San Benito County. Operations now involve Tommy Fogarty, with Michael Martella and Nathan Kandler associated with the winemaking team.
