Tablas Creek is a Paso Robles estate in California’s Adelaida District and a pioneer of the state’s Rhône movement. It is a partnership between the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel and the Haas family of Vineyard Brands, with Jason Haas leading winemaking and operations. Beaucastel cuttings were imported to establish the vineyard, and the estate is farmed with a strong regenerative focus: organic since 2003, biodynamic since 2017, and the world’s first Regenerative Organic Certified vineyard and winery in 2020. Dry-farming, cover crops, composting, and grazing animals are central to the farming. In the cellar, Tablas Creek emphasizes native-yeast fermentation, separate lot vinification, and blending in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape tradition.
