Château de Passavant

France

Château de Passavant is a historic, family-owned estate in southern Anjou, run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Falloux/Lecomte family. The vineyards have been farmed organically since 1998 and certified since 2001, with biodynamic certification since 2011. Its ecological approach includes natural treatments, biodiversity hedges, agroforestry, eco-grazing with sheep, beehives, rainwater recovery, photovoltaic panels, and winery-effluent reprocessing. Claire and Olivier Lecomte manage the estate alongside Lucie Chené, Aubin Lecomte, and other family members. The domaine’s long history, continued family involvement, and focus on regenerative vineyard practices define its artisanal identity.
