Cascina Fonda

Italy

Founded in 1963, Cascina Fonda is a family-run winery in Piedmont’s Langhe, with vineyards in Neive and Mango. Brothers Marco and Massimo Barbero own and operate the estate, with Marco also serving as agronomist. The family farms carefully, harvesting by hand and using natural manure from their Piedmontese cattle; no organic certification is reported. Their wines include Barbaresco, Moscato d’Asti, Brachetto, Dolcetto d’Alba and Alta Langa sparkling wine, combining traditional methods with modern cellar technology. The estate’s Doi Crutin tasting room, with historic cellars dating to the early 1600s, reflects its connection to local heritage. The Barbero family remains closely involved in the harvest, continuing a generational agricultural tradition in the Langhe.
