Casa Balaguer is a family-run estate in Villena, Alicante, led by oenologists and winemakers Marta Ribera and Andrés Carull. Founded in 2008 and rooted in a historic 19th-century finca, the project is built around organic and biodynamic farming, regenerative polyculture, and minimal-intervention winemaking from traditional local varieties. Vineyards are integrated with olive trees, cereals, fruit trees, and animals as part of a living agricultural ecosystem, with no herbicides or pesticides. The estate emphasizes biodiversity, respect for the land, and wines that transparently express place. Their sites include distinctive marine-influenced, sandy, saline soils, and they also work with rare ungrafted pre-phylloxera Moscatel de Alejandría, producing fresh, vibrant, saline wines closely tied to origin.
