Bolla, founded in 1883 in Veneto's Valpolicella, is owned by Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV)—Italy's largest privately-held wine group, itself controlled by cooperative cellars. With about 800 hectares of vineyards and an annual production of roughly 10 million bottles, it operates on a large scale. Sustainability efforts include grower education, pruning schools, and targeted pest management to reduce synthetic pesticide use. Winemaking is led by Christian Scrinzi, supported by oenologist Luca di Palma and wine director Giannantonio Marconi.
