Granbazán is a Rías Baixas Albariño specialist based in the Salnés Valley, founded in 1981 and privately owned by Pedro Martínez since 2017. Centered on Finca Tremoedo in Vilanova de Arousa, the winery works granitic soils under strong Atlantic influence, using traditional low-yield Parra training to highlight the character of Salnés Valley Albariño. Sustainability is a major focus: Granbazán was the first winery in Spain to gain FAIR'N GREEN certification, with annual audits, alongside initiatives such as solar power, beehives and sustainable grazing. Winemaking is led by Diego Ríos, named Young Winemaker of the Year in Tim Atkin’s Rías Baixas 2023 report. Alongside estate fruit, Granbazán has long collaborated with around 80 local grower families farming more than 100 micro-parcels.
