Author is a family-owned Chilean producer in the Central Valley, founded in 1902 and linked to the parent estate Bodegas Tagua Tagua. It works with estate-grown grapes from vines aged 25–70 years across carefully managed parcels. The winemaking approach emphasizes fruit purity, with judicious use of oak and close attention to grape selection. Sustainability is central to the estate, which is independently vegan certified and practices organic and biodynamic farming, though these methods are not certified. Renewable electricity, eco-friendly packaging, and water-saving irrigation further support its environmentally conscious approach.
