Rosso Arcaico

Andrea Occhipinti runs a privately owned estate on the volcanic slopes above Lake Bolsena in Lazio. Working with volcanic lapilli soils and vines over 20 years old, he farms organically and with low inputs, using massal selection, indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur and no chemical additives. His wines preserve rare local varieties including Aleatico and Grechetto Rosso. Occhipinti personally directs the estate and winemaking, and maintains a nursery for clone propagation, reflecting a hands-on commitment to local vine material and natural expression.
