Founded in Saumur in 1885 by Édouard Langlois and Jeanne Chateau, Maison Langlois is a historic Loire producer now owned by the Bollinger Group. Its vineyards lie across clay-limestone and chalky terroirs, with Chenin Blanc at the heart of its identity and Crémant de Loire the principal focus. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified by the traditional method, with careful parcel selection, separate terroir vinification and extended lees ageing in historic tuffeau cellars. Langlois has followed Terra Vitis principles since 2000, protects biodiversity through hedges, old oaks and wildlife habitats, and is converting its vineyards to organic farming. The house combines rigorous, precise craftsmanship with an emphasis on elegant, fresh and distinctive sparkling wines, while sharing its Saumur heritage through cellar tours, tastings and vineyard experiences.
