The Foreign Affair Winery is based in Vineland Station in Ontario’s Niagara Benchlands, with vineyards in the Vinemount Ridge area. Founded in 2000 by Len and Marisa Crispino after inspiration from Amarone and appassimento winemaking in Valpolicella, it built its identity around appassimento-style wines made from partially dried grapes, alongside sparkling and some barrel-aged wines. The winery later partnered with and was acquired by Corby Spirit & Wine, with the Crispinos remaining involved. Winemaking has been led by René Van Ede since 2020, with Daniel Cumming also noted on the cellar team. The winery earned Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario certification in 2023.
