Domaine Tempier is a historic family estate in Bandol, Provence, owned by the Peyraud-Tempier family since 1834 and based at Le Plan du Castellet. Long associated with Lucien and Lulu Peyraud, the domaine helped shape Bandol’s reputation and champion Mourvèdre, later developing site-specific cuvées from parcels such as La Tourtine, La Migoua and Cabassaou. Its vineyards lie on a mosaic of limestone, clay and schist soils across hills and terraces with varied exposures and old vines. Farming is described as organic and biodynamic in approach, with hand work in the vines, harvests guided by lunar cycles, sheep for weed control, herbal teas and other natural treatments. In the cellar, the focus is on preserving fruit and vineyard energy, with aging in large foudres. Today, Daniel Ravier leads the estate while the family remains closely involved.
