Producer

Domaine Rijckaert

France

Rijckaert is a family-run estate based between Jura and the Mâconnais, founded in 1998 by Jean Rijckaert and run since 2013 by owner-winemaker Florent Rouve. Trained in forestry, agricultural engineering and oenology, Rouve farms parcels in Arbois and the Mâcon area on clay-limestone, marl and stony soils. Vineyard work is low-intervention and sustainability-minded, with hand harvesting, no synthetic pesticides, treatments limited to copper and sulphur, plant-based fertilisers, ploughing and measures to encourage biodiversity, though the domaine holds no formal certification. In the cellar, Rijckaert works with indigenous yeasts, spontaneous malolactic fermentation, no fining and restrained élevage in neutral French oak.
