Domaine Marchand-Grillot is a family-owned Côte de Nuits estate, established in 1950 through the union of the Marchand and Grillot families and based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy. Now run by Jacques Marchand with his children Étienne, the winemaker, and Marion, it draws on seven generations of Burgundian know-how. The domaine farms parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny with a low-intervention, reasoned approach close to organic standards: no synthetic pesticides or herbicides, hand harvesting, low sulfite use and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Since 2020 it has also pursued massal selection from old vine material. The wines are raised in locally made barrels and aim for finesse, elegance, structure and a clear expression of each climat, made for pleasure rather than fashion.
