Founded in 2005 by Dominique Cor and François de Nicolaÿ, Domaine des Moriers is a Beaujolais estate working approximately four hectares across the Fleurie plots of Les Marans, Les Ballis and La Côte. Its vines, averaging around 40 years old, grow on granite, manganese and sandy soils, with other reports noting schist and clay. Certified organic and biodynamic, the domaine relies on manual vineyard work, including horses, and hand-harvests its grapes. The founders also lead the winemaking, using natural vinification in cement vats without chaptalisation, commercial yeast or added sulfites. Wines are aged in stainless steel and used oak barrels. In 2018, the domaine expanded by acquiring a winery in Lancié.
