Château Mentone is a family-run estate in Saint-Antonin-du-Var, in Provence’s Haut Var, managed by the Serre-Bontemps family since 2003, with Marie-Pierre Caille leading ownership and winemaking. Its vineyards are farmed organically under AB (ECOCERT) certification and biodynamically under Demeter, following a transition to biodynamic methods between 2008 and 2012. The estate emphasizes manual work, traditional know-how, and quality-focused yields. Its AOP Côtes de Provence wines include parcel-based Souvenirs cuvées named after historic buildings on the property, while the signature 1033 reflects the site’s long history. Traditional techniques include hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and maturation in large oak foudres. The estate also produces olive oil, honey, and other farm products.
