Château Jean Voisin is a family-run Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate owned and managed by Xavier and Laurence Chassagnoux. Its vineyard lies on the Saint-Émilion plateau, with blue clay subsoil, and is worked as a single block divided into 19 parcels. The estate practices certified organic and biodynamic viticulture, avoiding herbicides and insecticides while using cover crops, green manure, mechanical weeding, soil analysis and extensive manual vineyard work. Harvesting is by hand, with optical sorting. The wines are fermented in cement tanks, undergo malolactic fermentation in barrels and are aged in oak, with some vintages receiving extended élevage. Hubert de Boüard provides consulting oenological support. The estate’s wines have received recognition including Guide Hachette’s Coup de Cœur and two stars, and James Suckling scores of 92–93 for the 2018 vintage and 94–95 for 2020.
