BioVio is a family-run estate on the Ligurian Riviera, near Albenga, where the Giobatta family produces wines from native Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Granaccia, alongside Taggiasca olive oil. Its vineyards lie on steep terraces of schist, quartz and limestone, and have been organically certified since 1989, with biodynamic principles also followed. The family emphasizes careful vineyard work, moderated yields, minimal-intervention winemaking and terroir-driven quality. Aimone and Chiara Giobatta founded the estate, now working with daughters Caterina, Camilla and Carolina across viticulture, winemaking, hospitality and related agricultural activities. BioVio also offers agritourism, cellar visits and OrtOsteria René, a restaurant centered on family recipes and local, seasonal produce.
