Balgera Vini

Italy

Founded in 1885 in Chiuro, Valtellina, Balgera is a family-owned winery now guided by the fifth generation, including Paolo and Luca Balgera. Its vineyards lie on the steep, dry-stone terraces of Valtellina, across the Sassella, Grumello and Valgella areas, with sustainable viticulture practiced without herbicides. The estate works both its own vineyards and grapes from carefully selected, guided suppliers. Wines are produced and aged in historic stone-vaulted cellars at Villa Quadrio, alongside modern facilities where technology supports traditional methods. Balgera’s approach combines experience, nature and innovation, with a particular focus on the demanding cultivation of Valtellina’s 100% Nebbiolo vineyards.
