Grapes
Italy
Babalù is a Sicilian producer with vineyards at 200–300 metres above sea level, where wind and climate naturally limit yields to around 7 tonnes per hectare. The vines average 15 years old, and grapes are harvested earlier than at neighbouring estates using a combination of hand and machine picking. In the cellar, both red and white grapes undergo cold soaking before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, resulting in a clearly fruit-focused, fresh style. No sustainability certifications, ownership details, or winemaker names are disclosed in the available information.
