Wickhams Road is a boutique label managed by the D’Anna family’s Hoddles Creek Estate in Victoria. Its wines draw on an 8-hectare, cool, free-draining Gippsland vineyard, with additional fruit sourced from the Upper Yarra Valley. The vines are hand-pruned and hand-harvested, while winter sheep grazing helps control weeds and reduce chemical herbicide use. Under winemaker Franco D’Anna, the wines are made with a low-intervention approach: no acidification, fining, or other manipulation, allowing balanced wines to express their terroir. The vineyard is not described as organically or biodynamically certified.
