Weingut Allendorf

Germany

Weingut Allendorf is a family-run Rheingau estate based in Oestrich-Winkel, with roots reaching back to the family’s 1955 acquisition of 1.5 hectares. Today, Ulrich Allendorf and Christel Schönleber operate the VDP member winery, with winemaking led by Ulrich, Josef Schönleber and the next generation. Vineyards extend from Hallgarten to Assmannshausen, spanning loess and loam, quartzite and slate, and producing Riesling and Spätburgunder with distinct site character. The estate emphasizes careful handwork, terroir-focused élevage and elegant, age-worthy wines. Sustainable vineyard management includes cover crops, sheep grazing and natural plant protection; conversion to controlled organic viticulture began in 2021, with organic certification planned from the 2024 vintage. Its classified sites include Hasensprung, Jesuitengarten, Berg Roseneck and Höllenberg.
