Underground Barossa is a family-owned Burge family venture in South Australia, rooted in more than 120 years and six generations of winemaking. Trent Burge’s wines are made in the Barossa tradition, reflecting the region through styles including Riesling, GSM, Shiraz, Mataro, sparkling wine and premium fortified Tawny and Muscat. Opened in 2019, its cellar door occupies a historic underground maturation cellar, creating an atmospheric setting for tastings and sales. The family’s approach combines a respect for heritage with accessible wines intended for immediate enjoyment while offering the ability to age. Through Barossa Boy Wines, Trent also shares personal stories of growing up on the family property and learning the craft from the ground up.
