Producer

Tiraki

New Zealand

Tiraki is a young, family-owned producer in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys, founded in 2020 on Longfield Farm, which the Hammond family has farmed since 1870. Josh Hammond leads the winemaking, producing focused, single-vineyard wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that aim to reflect their specific sites. Tiraki became New Zealand’s first B Corp-certified wine brand, with a strong emphasis on social and environmental responsibility. The family is transitioning its vineyards to organic practices, using native plantings, cover crops, seasonal sheep grazing, low-impact packaging and vegan-friendly, minimal-input winemaking. It also donates a portion of revenue to biodiversity-focused initiatives and supports independent suppliers. Rooted in Tikanga Māori values, Tiraki combines a clear sense of place with a commitment to nurturing the land for future generations.
