Terramare is based in Abruzzo and forms part of Codice Citra, a family-owned winery founded in 1973 by 3,000 small growers who united around quality. Its properties remain family-owned, including vineyards operated by growers with as little as one hectare. Terramare’s vineyard, planted in 2000 on calcareous, pebbly soils, produces Montepulciano d’Abruzzo under winemakers Davide Dias and Lino Olivastri.
