Terra di Seta is a family-owned organic and kosher winery in Chianti Classico’s Vagliagli area near Castelnuovo Berardenga, founded in 2001 and run by Daniele Della Seta and Maria Pellegrini. The estate’s vineyards lie at around 480–500 metres on sunny, ventilated hillsides, with rocky soils of Galestro, Alberese, and Macigno. Certified organic by ICEA since its foundation, the farm emphasizes biodiversity, soil health, sustainable viticulture, and renewable energy, alongside olive groves, woodland, and production of extra virgin olive oil. Sangiovese is central to the wines, which are certified kosher, including non-Mevushal Kosher for Passover. Enrico Paternoster is the oenologist and Ruggero Mazzilli the agronomist; the family is involved directly in vineyard work, winemaking, hospitality, and sales.
