Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a family-run estate on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, owned by Marco de Grazia since 2002. The estate farms organically and sustainably, with solar panels and circular-economy practices. Marco de Grazia is both owner and winemaker, using natural yeasts and careful oak aging. The vineyards are planted on volcanic soils across nine historical contrade (crus), with old vines up to 100 years and some pre-phylloxera parcels. The winery focuses on expressing the distinct terroir of each contrada, playing a key role in the recognition of Etna's sub-zones. Their wines reflect the high-altitude, volcanic character of the region.
