Founded in 1988 by fourth-generation farmer Casey McClellan and Vicky McClellan, Seven Hills Winery is based in Washington and remains closely guided by its founders, with Casey leading the winemaking. The winery is owned by Crimson Wine Group, which acquired the brand in 2016, while the McClellans continue day-to-day operations and retain the McClellan Estate vineyard. Its modest estate focuses on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by grapes from partner vineyards. The estate is certified LIVE, Salmon Safe, and Certified Sustainable, reflecting a long-term commitment to low-input, environmentally responsible viticulture.
