Salatin is a third-generation, family-owned winery in Villa di Villa, Cordignano, in the UNESCO-listed Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills of Veneto. Founded by brothers Antonio and Ercole Salatin in 1947, it is now managed by their sons and grandchildren, with Alessandro Salatin identified as owner-winemaker. The estate farms vineyards across the Prosecco hills, Grave del Friuli and DOC Venezia, producing Prosecco, red wines and organic cuvées. Its approach combines family tradition with modern technology, organic viticulture and the DOCG sustainable agriculture protocol, alongside SQNPI certification, biodiversity initiatives, energy saving, photovoltaic power and recycling projects. Viticulture coexists with hand-harvested olive cultivation, including limited-edition oil from the native Tonda di Villa variety.
