Poggio Mandorlo

Italy

Founded in 2001 by four lifelong friends—Roberto, Felice, Giuseppe and Fabio—Poggio Mandorlo is based in Seggiano, in Tuscany’s Alta Maremma. The estate farms its own vineyards and produces exclusively from estate-grown grapes. Its hillside winery, built with recycled stone, local materials and natural ventilation, reflects a low-impact approach, while minimal-intervention winemaking seeks to preserve a direct link between vineyard and bottle. Winemaking began under Roberto Cipresso and is now led by Filippo Paoletti. The range combines Sangiovese-based Montecucco and Toscana wines with international varieties including Cabernet Franc and Merlot, balancing territorial character with an international style. Several wines have received top recognition from the Veronelli Guida Oro, alongside selections in other Italian wine guides and awards from Mundus Vini.
